Diamonds: A woman's best friend?

T'was about time I saw the movie : Blood Diamond. It undoubtedly was a superb movie, it spoke about the conflicts that arose and the politics involved with respect to the diamond. A must-see movie, I was shocked by the truth the movie spoke. Blood diamond is about how poverty stricken African countries, becomes a country populated by rebels to fund their conflict. The war torn country' rebels abuse human right terribly, most often by murdering and enslaving their own people to mine the diamonds. The movie also dealt with so many powerful social issues from AIDS to civil war to child soldiers to refugees and of course, conflict diamonds. It challenges the viewer to rethink about what they are buying and the movie has definitely tried its opportunity to really make a difference. Truly, Diamonds are forever but so is the pain they can cause.

Birthday in US!

Moods today !

N here I was, celebrated my birthday in US of A. Eggs smashing on my head, face smacking cake and a push into the pool. That's precisely how my day began!! Fun day.

The clock ticked 12 am in India. 14th Nov is here (here is India) and i sit with my laptop and recollect how i spent last year's bday in India. phone calls, phone calls till wee hours in the morning :)
Today, in the US, wondering, smiling, what does the future have in store for me?:)
